How to reach Dooars

By Air – Nearest major airport is in Bagdogra, Siliguri. The connectivity via road is decent and can be reached by an hour or maximum of three – four hours drive. Bagdogra Airport is well connected with regular flights from Kolkata, Delhi and Guwahati, Mumbai, Chennai. Bagdogra is served by regular Indian Airlines, Kingfisher and Jet Airways. There are flights from Kolkata, Guwahati and Delhi. It is well connected to the rest of India. Lataguri is 100 kilometers from Bagdogra or NJP.

By Rail – The closest major railway Junction is New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP). Malbazar, Chalsa, Rajabhatkhawa, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar are all connected with New Jalpaiguri by train. The frequencies of train are highest from New Jalpaiguri Station. There is a broad gauge railway service passing through Dooars connecting Cooch Behar with Kolkata via New Jalpaiguri and Guwahati. Guest are advised to use the road in Dooars as it's a pleasant drive through the woods and Tea estate. The Train passing through the forest and tea gardens is also worth enjoying.

By Road – The destinations of Dooars are well connected with national highways and the tributary roads. National Highway 31 is the main link. They are well linked up with Siliguri, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar by roadways and also run parallel to the railway track. Jaldapara is on the other side and is also well connected with Siliguri. The destinations mentioned in Dooars are best to travel by road passing through forested area, tea estate and few of the temples along the track. There are a few settlements on the way. All destinations can be reached by two to maximum of four hours hours.
